Creating a New Scent – A Fun and Fragrant Adventure

Hello friends,

This past week has been all about creativity and discovery as I worked on a brand-new scent for DD’s Scents! Finding the perfect fragrance is always an adventure, and this one has been extra special because my older daughter joined me in testing it.

A Warm and Inviting New Fragrance
The moment I smelled this scent, I knew it was something special. It feels like being wrapped in a cozy embrace, with warm notes of creamy vanilla, amber, and white musk blending beautifully with touches of sugared violet and coconut milk. There’s also a hint of red raspberry and mandarin that gives it a little extra brightness. It’s such a comforting yet intriguing scent, and I can’t wait for you to experience it!

What’s in a Name?
Naming a new scent is always one of the hardest parts for me. Do I go with something fun and playful? Something elegant and dreamy? I’ve been tossing around ideas but haven’t settled on the perfect one yet. My daughter and I had a great time brainstorming names together, and while we haven’t picked one yet, it’s been so much fun hearing her creative ideas!

Designing the Label
Along with testing the scent, I’ve also been working on the label design. I love this part of the process—playing around with colors, fonts, and little details that bring the theme of the scent to life. I want the label to capture the warm, inviting feeling of the fragrance, and I’ve been having so much fun experimenting with different ideas.

A Special Testing Experience
One of the best parts of this process has been sharing it with my older daughter. She’s been so excited to test out the wax melts with me, and we’ve had such a great time discussing how the scent changes as it melts. Seeing her reactions and hearing her thoughts has made this experience even more special.
